· UFC 114 Live Gate Released
The culmination of the rivalry between Rashad Evans and Quinton "Rampage" Jackson took place in Las Vegas at UFC 114 at the Mandalay Bay Events Center and the financial details have been released to the public. While pay-per-view numbers are not available at this time, the live gate numbers have been detailed by Nevada State Athletic Commssion Chairmen Keith Kizer.
The event was near capacity with all but 966 tickets being sold. Of those tickets, 1,702 were comped and 14 went unsold; 13,294 seats were filled with paid attendees for a live gate total of $3,895,125.
In the evening's main event, Rashad Evans won a unanimous decision victory over Quinton "Rampage" Jackson. The rivalry heated up with both fighters coaching the tenth edition of the UFC's popular, "The Ultimate Fighter" reality show. Both men were expected to face off at the end of the show in December but filming of the upcoming "A-Team" movie interfered with the fight forcing the bout to be moved.
Featured in the co-main event was a clash between middleweights Michael Bisping and Dan Miller. Bisping continued to improve following two losses in three fights with a unanimous decision win over Miller.
