· Two More Bouts Confirmed For UFC 113
The UFC has officially announced two additional bouts for UFC 113, which takes place in Montreal, Quebec, on May 8. One of the contests
features perennial contender Josh Koscheck against fast rising, hard hitting British slugger, Paul "Semtex" Daley. The other confirmed match is between "The Ultimate Fighter 7" competitor "Crazy" Tim Credeur and the always entertaining Tom "The Filthy Mauler" Lawlor. The event will be headlined by the rematch between reigning UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Lyoto Machida and Mauricio "Shogun" Rua.
Koscheck (14-4) is coming off one of the most impressive wins of his career against Anthony Johnson at "UFC 106: Ortiz vs. Griffin." Koscheck, known for his wrestling, surprisingly traded shots with Johnson for the majority of the fight before taking him down and securing a rear-naked choke to end the fight.
Daley (23-8-2) has been on a tear since arriving in the UFC. He took out Martin Kampmann on short notice with a devastating flurry of punches, and in his most recent bout he flatlined jiu-jitsu specialist Dustin Hazelett in what is an early contender for the knockout of the year.
Credeur (12-3), primarily thought to be a ground fighter while he was on TUF, has since shown that he is much more diverse. The Louisiana fighter is fresh off an absolute war with Nate Quarry at "UFC Fight Night 19," where he and Quarry stood toe-to-toe and traded devastating strikes for the entire three rounds.
Lawlor (6-2) is coming off a split decision loss to Aaron Simpson at "Fight Night 20." He came out extremely aggressive and had Simpson rocked multiple times but was unable to put the fighter away. Lawlor ultimately faded going into the third round and Simpson was able to secure the decision victory.
The announced fights for the card are:
- Light Heavyweight Champion Lyoto Machida vs. Mauricio "Shogun" Rua
- Paul Daley vs. Josh Koscheck
- Jeremy Stephens vs. Sam Stout
- Alan Belcher vs. Patrick Cote
- Marcus Davis vs. Jonathan Goulet
- T.J. Grant vs. Johny Hendricks
- Tim Credeur vs. Tom Lawlor
