Abu DhabiThe UFC's first trip to the Middle East has added yet another intriguing matchup, as a bout between welterweight prospects Rick Story and Nick Osipczak is reportedly in the works. UFC 112 will be held in the United Arab Emirates in Abu Dhabi and features the UFC's first ever outdoors event. It is expected to air live on pay-per-view on April 10.

MMAJunkie reports that the fight is being arranged, though bout agreements have not been signed. If made official, the welterweight fight between two future stars would add another exciting matchup to the already star-studded card.

Headlining the event will be the long awaited middleweight championship match between Anderson Silva and Vitor Belfort. In the second title bout, lightweight champion B.J. Penn takes on current number one contender Frank Edgar. Rounding out the confirmed portion of the main card, future Hall of Fame fighter Matt Hughes battles jiu-jitsu master Renzo Gracie.

Since losing his UFC debut against John Hathaway back in June 2009 at UFC 99, Rick Story (9-3) has won his last two fights in the UFC, including an impressive arm triangle submission victory over Brian Foster at UFC 103 last September. In his career, he has earned five stoppage wins out of his nine victories.

Nic Osipczak, a competitor on last year's "Ultimate Fighter: United States vs. United Kingdom," made it to the semi-finals where he lost to the show's runner-up, Demarques Johnson. Since the TUF fights are considered exhibitions, the loss isn't official, leaving Osipczak's perfect 5-0 record in tact. He subsequently defeated highly touted prospect Matt Riddle in November at UFC 105. All five of Osipczak's career fights have ended without making it to a decision.

The complete UFC 112 fight card, including those not officially announced are as follows:

  • Anderson Silva vs. Vitor Belfort
  • BJ Penn vs. Frankie Edgar
  • Matt Hughes vs. Renzo Gracie
  • Rick Story vs. Nic Osipczak
  • Kendall Grove vs. Mark Munoz
  • Terry Etim vs. Rafael Dos Anjos
  • Paul Taylor vs. John Gunderson
