Round 3 - Condit throws a kick which is caught, and he immediately gets backed up with strikes.  MacDonald keeps coming forward with punches and kicks, then tries to take Condit down and is reversed in the scramble.  Condit lands in half guard and is actively trying to pass into mount.  Condit stands up but immediately drops back into half guard, dropping elbows the whole time.  Condit gets the mount, but is caught back in half guard quickly.  Condit is really laying the pressure on and has MacDonald bleesing.  Condit stands up and drops back into half guard.  MacDonald is able to get back up, but Condit has it pressed up against the cage.  MacDonald tries for a takedown, but Condit seems much fresher and gets him to the ground against the cage.  Condit is throwing elbows; it appears that MacDonald's face is badly swelling around the outside of his right eye.  Condit is attacking the spot madly, and tries to pin down MacDonald's right arm with his leg.  Condit stands up and is absolutely raining down blows.  MacDonald tries to escape but Condit scrambles to retain the position.  Condit gets mount again but MacDonald gets butterfly guard.  Condit is absolutely pouring down elbows, and then stands up, but doesn't give MacDonald a minute to get up.  Back to half guard, Condit is again pouring down elbows.  With 9 seconds left, the referee jumps in and stops the fight for Carlos Condit.

Official Result - Carlos Condit def. Rory MacDonald via TKO at 4:53 of Round 3

Ben Rothwell vs. Gilbert Yvel

Round 1 - Rothwell comes out explosive just throwing everything he has, but Yvel is able to reverse a bit and back Rothwell up.  Yvel grabs for a guillotine but Rothwell is able to get to the ground into side control.  Rothwell is trying for the mount, and gets it, but Yvel reverses to being in Rothwell's guard.  They get back up, but Rothwell gets him back down into side control quickly.  Rothwell is trying to grab a kimura, then uses it to try to pass to mount, but can't get his leg across Yvel's stomach.  Rothwell tries to isolate Yvel's arm in a crucifix, but Yvel uses it to reverse.  They scramble and Rothwell gets Yvel down against the cage in mount.  Rothwell has Yvel mounted and tries to drop elbows, but Yvel is bucking to get him off.  Yvel returns to half guard and grabs Rothwell's leg in a leg lock attempt, but Rothwell gets out and isolates Yvel's arm with his legs.  He's now got the crucifix, but Yvel almost rolls out of the position.  He gets the roll and reverses, uses it to stand up, and lands some huge punches and kicks on Rothwell who is visibly slowing.  Yvel is landing huge shots, but Rothwell grabs Yvel's head and they clinch.  Yvel is holding him against the cage and lands a big high kick.  Close round with big periods of both guys being dominant, Rothwell was winning for most of the round byt Yvel did more damage.  10-9 Rothwell.

Round 2 - Rothwell comes forward and tries to take Yvel down, and gets him against the cage, though Yvel has full guard.  Yvel tries to get a triangle, but Rothwell gets into side control in the resulting scramble.  Yvel tries to buck out, and gets back to half guard.  Rothwell is trying to escape and gets mount.  From mount, Rothwell is pinning Yvel's arm and is throwing strikes down, but Yvel is trying to buck.  Yvel is able to use the cage to get up, but Rothwell has him pressed up against the cage.  Both guys are exhausted.  Rothwell gets him down again, and is trying to throw strikes, but from the bottom Yvel uses an Americana to sweep and get to the top.  Now Yvel appears to have gotten a second wind and is raining down huge strikes, the ref is standing right over.  Yvel is slowing down but still raining down huge blows.  Rothwell is trying to come forward and is barely able to get to his knees to get up, and finds a way to pull Yvel back down.  Now Rothwell is in Yvel's half guard, but has very little energy.  Rothwell gets mount but is literally just sitting on him.  Yvel is throwing more strikes from the bottom than Rothwell from mount.  10-9 Yvel for his flurry and damage done.

Round 3 - Yvel dives right at the start of the round to take Rothwell down, but Rothwell reverses and they end up with Rothwell in Yvel's full guard.  Now Rothwell has side control.  Yvel is trying to keep active from the bottom, but Rothwell is just holding him down and throwing weak and infrequent elbows.  Rothwell gets to mount again, but Yvel is easily able to get back to half guard.  The ref is calling for them to work, but both men are very tired.  Yvel is able to push Rothwell off, but he scrambles back into side control.  From there, Rothwell gets Yvel's arm locked up, but isn't executing any submissions, just holding.  Rothwell gets Yvel in a crucifix again, and is throwing some strikes, but not too many.  Rothwell, still holding side control, not really advancing anything.  The last few minutes of the fight were the same thing, just Rothwell sitting on top throwin occasional punches.  10-9 Rothwell, likely for the fight.
