· Sobral, Mousasi And Sokoudjou To Compete In Dream Light Heavyweight Tournament.
According to recent reports there have been three new additions to the next Dream light heavyweight grand prix, "Dream.15". Renato Sobral, Gegard Mousasis, and Rameau Thierry Sokoudjou will all compete for the organization.
Former Strikeforce light-heavyweight champion and UFC contender Renato “Babalu” Sobral (35-8) is officially signed to compete in the tournament and has signed a multi-fight contract with the Japan-based organization. MMAJunkie.com first reported the signing.
Current Strikeforce light-heavyweight champion and former Dream middleweight champion, Gegard Mousasi (28-2-1) is also locked in to compete at the grand prix, according to comments he made to MMAFighting.com on Wednesday.
Dream officials have also confirmed that former Pride and UFC fighter Rameau Thierry Sokoudjou (7-6) is expected to take part in this tournament.
Gegard Mousasi looks to be an early favorite to win, already holding victories over both Sobral and Sokoudjou.
The grand prix starts in May and is expected to conclude sometime during the summer or fall.
In addition to the first round of this grand prix, "Dream.15" will also host the return of its welterweight champion, Marius Zaromskis (13-4), though no opponent has been announced for his return match.
