· Eduard Folayang To Defend Welterweight Championship At “URCC XVI: Reckoning”

Filipino MMA superstar Eduard Folayang is set to return to action on March 27 at “URCC XVI: Reckoning”. His opponent, Dooje Chung, is making his Universal Reality Combat Championship debut. Little information is available on Chung, but it is known that he was a part of the Korean National Gymnastics team.

Folayang, a decorated Wushu and San Shou expert, earned the URCC welterweight title in 2007 when he defeated Allan Co via tko in the first round. He has since moved to lightweight and amassed a 5-1 record.

The card is shaping up to feature another title bout between Angelito Mangurau and Salvador Domasian for the vacant lightweight championship. Former URCC champions Richard Lasprilla and Vicente Pajaro, Folayang’s Lakay Wushu teammates Erwin Focad and George Lusadan, and a slue of undefeated prospects are also scheduled to fight on the card.
