A fight that is guaranteed to produce fireworks is set for UFC 113, with "Crazy" Tim Credeur scheduled to face Tom "The Filthy Mauler" Lawlor, according to multiple reports. Former "The Ultimate Fighter" alumn, both fighters have posted winning records since their stints on reality show and have received "Fight of the Night" honors for their efforts. UFC 113 is scheduled for May 8, 2010 in Montreal, Quebec, Canada and is headlined by the long-awaited rematch between Lyoto Machida and Mauricio "Shogun" Rua.

Credeur (12-3) lost in his most recent outing against Nate Quarry in an instant classic that rivaled the first Stephan Bonnar vs. Forrest Griffin fight. Though Credeur lost by unanimous decision, he and Quarry received the "Fight of the Night" bonus for a slugfest where the two stood toe-to-toe and left everything they had in the cage. The loss was Credeur's first in the UFC moving his career record to 3-1 in the organization. Of his 12 career wins, not a single one was decided by decision.

Lawlor (6-2) also tasted defeat in his last bout, losing to Aaron Simpson by split decision. Like Credeur, he won "Fight of the Night" after giving the bout all he had. He dominated the fight early but faded in the late rounds and allowed Simpson to come from behind and secure the victory. He is 2-1 in his career since joining the UFC. Five of his six career wins have been finished inside the distance.

The proposed UFC 113 card is as follows:

  • Lyoto Machida vs. Mauricio "Shogun" Rua
  • Patrick Cote vs. Alan Belcher
  • Jeremy Stephens vs. Sam Stout
  • Tim Credeur vs. Tom Lawlor
  • TJ Grant vs. Jonny Hendricks
  • Jonathan Goulet vs. Marcus Davis
  • Yoshiyuki Yoshida vs. Mike Guymon
  • Josh Koscheck vs. Paul Daley
  • Kimbo Slice vs. Matt Mitrione
