A scheduled heavyweight slugfest between newcomer Todd Duffee and former top contender Paul Buentello will not take place at UFC 107. Duffee has pulled out of the bout with an undisclosed injury, and a replacement opponent has yet to be named, according to various reports. Duffee's camp would not elaborate on the type of injury, but he expressed his grief over removing himself from the bout.

“(Withdrawing) was one of the hardest decisions I’ve had to make,” said Duffee, according to www.sherdog.com.

Duffee (5-0) amazed fans at UFC 102 in August with a seven second knockout of Tim Hague, matching the UFC record for fastest knockout. Out of all five of his professional fights, he has finished every opponent by knockout or technical knockout, with none going past the second round.

Buentello (24-10) is prepared to make his UFC return after having a 3-1 record during his first stint with the organization (2005-2006). He fought Andre Arlovski at UFC 55 in October 2005 for the heavyweight championship where he lost via knock out, but won his final UFC fight at UFC 57 in February 2006 against Gilbert Aldana before leaving the organization.

Paul has a 7-1 record since his departure from the UFC, with the lone defeat coming at the hands of Strikeforce heavyweight champion, Alistair Overeem
