Three different pain medications were found in Parisyan's system though a urine test administered after his hard fought split decision win over Dong Hyun Kim at UFC 94 “St. Pierre vs. Penn 2” on January 31st at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada

The first Sovereign Nations Mixed Martial Arts (SNMMA) championship will be contested Saturday night, March 21 at “Beatdown 4” when Brandon “The Iron Lion” Lee Hinkle battles Chris Tuchscherer in the main event at 4 Bears Casino in New Town, North Dakota. UFC heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar is scheduled to make a special appearance.

Off the heels of recent reports that Forrest Griffin will meet Thiago Silva and Randy Couture will meet Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira, another report has surfaced that Thiago Tavares may face off against Melvin ‘The Young Assassin” Guillard. Although UFC 101, or any of the fights themselves, have yet to be officially announced all signs and sources are saying they are a “go”.

The results for World Championship Fighting's sixth event are in.   WCF 6 held on March 14, 2009 at Aleppo Shriners Auditorium in Wilmington, MA included the first ever featherweight title match for the organization.  Former 145 pounder Dan Ferrer became the inaugural champion, defeating Dan Bonnell by first round submission (Kimura) at 2:48 of the first round.

Former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Forrest Griffin has recently stated that he was ready to return to the Octagon. It appears that it did not take long for UFC officials to put Griffin, the original Ultimate Fighter winner, to work.  According to a report from MMA Junkie, Thiago Silva has been selected to welcome Griffin back after losing his title to Rashad Evans at UFC 92 in December at UFC 101.

Former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Tito ‘The Huntington Beach Bad Boy’ Ortiz and his wife, adult film star Jenna Jameson are now the proud parents of twins. The birth, which reportedly came on Sunday, March 15, 2009, is said to have produced two healthy baby boys. Congratulations Tito and Jenna from MMA Spot.net.

In celebration of UFC 100, the Ultimate Fighting Championship® organization, along with Reed Exhibitions, today announced the launch of UFC® Fan Expo™, a two-day fan exhibition of Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) activities starting Friday, July 10th and leading right up to the start of the historic fights on Saturday, July 11th. UFC Fan Expo will take place inside the Mandalay Bay Convention Center, and will be the first event of its kind for UFC fans.

The last time we saw Patrick ‘The Predator’ Cote he was being helped out of the Octagon after blowing out his knee in a title fight against Anderson Silva. Cote was the first contender to take Silva past the second round in his UFC career. Although Cote was behind on the scorecards, he had accomplished quite a bit in that fight, right up until the injury. Now, after surgery to repair his knee, ‘The Predator’ sits down with MMA Spot’s Brad LeBeau to answer a few questions about his recovery and future.

The Ultimate Fighting Championship is closing in on another victory. This time around, they are looking to make a splash in the highly lucrative video game market. UFC and THQ, last year, signed a multi-year agreement to produce UFC related titles. UFC 2009: Undisputed the first of such titles is scheduled for a spring release. Maximum Fighting Championship (MFC) has issued the following press release regarding their next event, HeatXC 2: Fearless.  MFC is using the HeatXC events to promote their younger and less experienced fighters.  The event will take place on March 27th in Edmonton Alberta, Canada and the Ramada Edmonton. 

A rumored upcoming fight between Anthony "Rumble" Johnson and John "Doomsday" Howard at the Ultimate Fighter 9 finale is apparently off. During an interview with Sports Action Network Anthony Johnson (7-2, 4-2 UFC) says that John Howard backed out of their fight and calls the move cowardly.
