Congratulations Tito Ortiz!
Former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Tito ‘The Huntington Beach Bad Boy’ Ortiz and his wife, adult film star Jenna Jameson are now the proud parents of twins. The birth, which reportedly came on Sunday, March 15, 2009, is said to have produced two healthy baby boys. Congratulations Tito and Jenna from MMA Spot.net.
Fan Expo Announced for UFC 100
In celebration of UFC 100, the Ultimate Fighting Championship® organization, along with Reed Exhibitions, today announced the launch of UFC® Fan Expo™, a two-day fan exhibition of Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) activities starting Friday, July 10th and leading right up to the start of the historic fights on Saturday, July 11th. UFC Fan Expo will take place inside the Mandalay Bay Convention Center, and will be the first event of its kind for UFC fans.

On The Spot ~ Patrick Cote
The last time we saw Patrick ‘The Predator’ Cote he was being helped out of the Octagon after blowing out his knee in a title fight against Anderson Silva. Cote was the first contender to take Silva past the second round in his UFC career. Although Cote was behind on the scorecards, he had accomplished quite a bit in that fight, right up until the injury. Now, after surgery to repair his knee, ‘The Predator’ sits down with MMA Spot’s Brad LeBeau to answer a few questions about his recovery and future.
UFC Video Game Nearing Release
The Ultimate Fighting Championship is closing in on another victory. This time around, they are looking to make a splash in the highly lucrative video game market. UFC and THQ, last year, signed a multi-year agreement to produce UFC related titles. UFC 2009: Undisputed the first of such titles is scheduled for a spring release. HeatXC 2: Fearless Official Press Release
Maximum Fighting Championship (MFC) has issued the following press release regarding their next event, HeatXC 2: Fearless. MFC is using the HeatXC events to promote their younger and less experienced fighters. The event will take place on March 27th in Edmonton Alberta, Canada and the Ramada Edmonton.
Anthony Johnson calls John Howard “Cowardly”
A rumored upcoming fight between Anthony "Rumble" Johnson and John "Doomsday" Howard at the Ultimate Fighter 9 finale is apparently off. During an interview with Sports Action Network Anthony Johnson (7-2, 4-2 UFC) says that John Howard backed out of their fight and calls the move cowardly.

UFC Officially Announces UFC 100
UFC 100 has been officially announced. Although no fights are official, Georges St. Pierre vs. Thiago Alves is strongly expected to be one of the headliners for the card. The event has been slated to take place on July 11th at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. UFC 100 will be broadcast via Pay-Per-View as well as being presented by Bud Light. Expect several big time match ups to be announced as the historical event nears.
World Victory Road Announces Fight Card for Sengoku 7
World Victory Road, the Japanese MMA promotion has announced the fight card for their next event, World Victory Road Presents: Sengoku 7 set to take place on 3/20/09 at Yoyogi National Stadium in Tokyo, Japan. Shamrock Out; Guida In at March Badness
Ken Shamrock, who recently failed his post-fight drug test performed by the California State Athletic Comission, has forced a change to the MMA and Boxing hybrid card "March Badness". According to Versus Jason Guida (17-19) will step in to replace the suspended Ken Shamrock.

Goran Reljic Receives Contract Extension, Prepares to Return to Full Training
According to a report by DreamFighters.com, Goran Reljic (8-0) will return to the gym in full capacity within the next two weeks. Reljic has been sidelined due to a back injury since October of last year. Having fulfilled just one fight of the three fight contract signed with the UFC, the report indicated that the original terms of Reljic's contract have been extended.
Jake Shields Removed From April 11 Event, Will Fight Lawler In May
Jake Shields will have to wait another month before getting back into the cage. He was originally scheduled to meet Joe ‘Diesel’ Riggs at Strikeforce’s “Shamrock vs. Diaz” on April 11th from the HP Pavilion in San Jose, CA. Instead, he will be facing ‘Ruthless’ Robbie Lawler sometime in May. The announcement was made today by Strikeforce officials while at the “Shamrock vs Diaz” press conference in Los Angeles, CA.
Mike Patt Released by the UFC
According to a report by Five Ounces Of Pain, Mike Patt has been released by the UFC. Patt first entered the Octagon at UFC 88: Breakthrough where he was defeated by Tim Boetsch via TKO at 2:03 of the first round. Patt lost his subsequent bout with Brandon Vera in Ohio at UFC 96 after absorbing a series of punishing leg kicks that left him unable to continue at 1:27 of round two.
